A year ago we finished the last test-run with the Lucid Dreamer and showed that nearly 50% of the users experienced one or more lucid dreams during the test period (~10 days). Also, the majority of the users (80%) experienced very vivid dreams, which often bordered lucidity. These dreams were characterised by the occurrence of clear thoughts and realistic emotions. Moreover, our subjects often reported that these dreams were very “meaningful” and made a lasting impact on them. Testing the Lucid Dreamer has been a very interesting journey that has given us many new insights regarding the induction of lucid dreams, but also about the lucid dreams themselves.

We know that many of you are eagerly waiting for the release of the Lucid Dreamer device, so they can start experimenting with it themselves. We are currently exploring different options to speed up that process and will keep you posted on new developments.

In the meantime, we will be starting a new test run with the Lucid Dreamer prototype. We have developed a new set of protocols based on scientific research that could potentially increase the effectiveness of the Lucid Dreamer. This means that we are once again calling out to those who would like to explore their dreamworld by being a participant in our research. Interested? Reach out to us and together we will take the Lucid Dreamer to the next level! (info@luciddreamer.com)

In order to become a participant, you will need to visit the Netherlands at least twice: One time for picking up the Lucid Dreamer and receiving instructions and once for dropping of the Lucid Dreamer after your test run has been completed. Please let us know where you need to travel from and we’ll work out the best place to meet. It’s up to you whether you want to arrange a place to sleep during your test run (e.g. Hotel, AirB&B) or whether you want to take the Lucid Dreamer home. The test run consists of 6 testing nights in which you would test 3 protocols twice. You don’t need to do this on 6 consecutive nights, you can have the Lucid Dreamer for a minimum of 6 (duh) and a maximum of 12 nights.
